I already participate in The Granite YMCA’s virtual classes. What’s changed?

The majority of our classes will no longer be held through Zoom. Instead, we will be streaming classes directly on the Virtual Y website. This new platform will allow us to deliver higher quality video and audio as well as provide a more convenient place to find all of your favorite workouts. Zoom will still be used for select classes and these links will be available on the new website as well.

Where can I find my class?

Starting Monday, October 4, all of our virtual classes can be found on the Virtual Y website. Start by selecting “LOGIN” in the top right corner of the webpage. You will login with your Granite YMCA email and password, the same credentials that you use when making membership payments, registering for programs, and reserving in-person classes. Once signed in, select “Live Classes” found on the top of the page. Find and select your class block and select “View Full Class Detail”.

What if I don’t know my log-in?

If you can’t remember your password, select “Forgot Password”, enter your email address, and follow the prompts to recover your password. If you can’t remember your email address or have any trouble, please call the Welcome Center for assistance. Remember, you will login with your Granite YMCA email and password, which are the same credentials that you use when making membership payments, registering for programs, and reserving in-person classes.

What if I miss my class?

With our new platform, all of our virtual classes will be archived and can be found in the “On-Demand” section of our website. New on-demand classes will be added weekly.

What should I expect when attending a class on the Virtual Y website?

Many aspects, including your favorite instructors, will remain the same. You will no longer need a webcam or microphone to participate in a class. You will also notice a higher quality image and far less connectivity issues. This means your class will be smoother, clearer, and less likely to cut out. You may also easily access virtual classes on any of your electronic devices such as a smart phone, tablet, and even on a Smart TV!

Do I need a desktop or laptop computer to view my class?

No! You can access your favorite live classes on all your electronic devices. Simply follow the same steps whether it’s on your computer, phone, tablet, or Smart TV.

Does this new service cost money?

No, this service is free and included with your Granite YMCA membership.
